DSC Court Fees

How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Signed and notarized DSC affidavit (court-provided form)
- •Copy of current liability insurance with applicant's name
- •Copy of valid non-commercial Texas driver's license
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS (submit after course completion)
- •Signed 'Court Copy' of DSC certificate of completion
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date on the citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from date affidavit is notarized.
- •Not eligible if cited in a school zone, speeding 25+ mph over the limit, passing a school bus, leaving scene of accident, or cited in a work zone with workers present
- •Not eligible if you hold a commercial driver's license (CDL)
- •Mailed DSC requests must be postmarked on or before the appearance date
- •Online payments available at the portal URL above; in-person accepts cash (exact), money order, cashier's check, personal check, or credit/debit card
