  • Valid Texas non-commercial driver's license (or active-duty military proof)
  • Valid proof of insurance with applicant's name
  • Signed court copy of DSC completion certificate (upon course completion)

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: On or before appearance date on citation
  • Completion window: 90 days from notarization of DSC request form.
  • JP4 lobby is by appointment only; call (512) 854-9479 (Traffic/Criminal line) to schedule
  • CDL holders are not eligible for DSC dismissal
  • Not eligible if speeding 25+ mph over the limit, passing a school bus, leaving scene of a collision, or cited in a work zone with workers present
  • Mail submissions must be postmarked on or before the appearance date
