To Request Approval — Submit These

  • •Affidavit stating you were not enrolled in another DSC at time of request and had not completed one in the preceding 12 months
  • •Proof of current liability insurance

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • •Uniform certificate of completion from a TDLR-approved (formerly TEA-approved) driver safety course
  • •Texas DPS driving record showing no DSC completion within the prior 12 months

  • •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date on your citation; contact the court BEFORE paying any fees or enrolling in a course
  • •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
