  • Signed affidavit entering plea of no contest or guilty
  • Copy of valid Texas Driver's License (or active military service documentation)
  • Proof of personal financial responsibility (auto liability insurance — your name must appear on card/policy, active at time of citation)
  • Payment of $146 (cash, cashier's check, or money order only)

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • Certified driving record (Type 3A) from Texas Department of Public Safety

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: Request must be submitted in person or mailed (postmarked) on or before the appear-by date listed on your notice to appear
  • Completion window: 90 days from court approval to complete the Driver Safety Course and submit certificate.

  • Only moving violations are eligible for DSC dismissal.
