How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver license (or proof of active-duty military status)
- •Proof of automobile liability insurance
- •Affidavit stating no DSC was in progress on date of request
- •Upon completion: Uniform Certificate of Driving Safety Course Completion
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Texas DPS driver record (Type 3A) showing no DSC completed within prior 12 months
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: No later than 10 days past the appearance date on the citation; plea of guilty or no contest and jury waiver required
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval date to submit certificate and driver record.
