How to Request DSC Approval

To Request Approval — Submit These

  • •Driving Safety Course Plea Form
  • •Valid Texas driver license, permit, or military ID
  • •DSC completion certificate (after course)
  • •Written guilty or no-contest plea (required if third-party pays by credit card)

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
  • •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • •Request deadline: On or before appearance date on citation
  • •CDL holders are NOT eligible for DSC dismissal.
  • •DSC dismissal is available only for moving violations.
  • •Must not have taken a DSC for ticket dismissal within 12 months prior to the citation date.

  • •Handles county-road and DPS Class C traffic citations; this is a JP court, not a municipal court.
