DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court cost reported as $140 countywide for standard DSC dismissal; $165 if citation issued in a school zone (child safety fee added). Ector County publishes a single countywide DSC eligibility document covering all four JP precincts. Fee is paid to the court — separate from the online course provider fee (~$25).
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Driving Safety Course Plea Form (signed guilty or no contest)
- •Proof of current liability insurance
- •DSC completion certificate (submitted after course completion)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Texas driving record ($12.00 via texas.gov)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Submit DSC request in writing on or before the appearance date on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval (standard Texas justice court DSC window).
- •CDL/commercial driver's license holders are NOT eligible for DSC dismissal.
- •Cannot use DSC to dismiss more than one ticket within a 12-month period.
- •Court payment portal: certifiedpayments.net (bureau code 9029116) or call 866-549-1010.
- •Payment plan applications submitted to compliance.forms@ectorcountytx.gov.
