How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driving Safety Course Affidavit Request form
- •Proof of completion of TDLR-approved driver safety course
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of current liability insurance on date of offense
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must elect DSC on or before appearance date listed on citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court order.

- •Effective February 1, 2024, the court accepts electronically filed documents via eFileTexas.gov or email; in-person and mail also accepted. All appeals must be filed in-person.
