How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Written request (postmarked on or before appearance date on citation)
- •Completed plea form (included with citation or available on court website under Moving Violations tab)
- •Court costs payment of $144 via money order or cashier's check
- •DSC completion certificate (after receiving court approval letter)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Written request must be postmarked on or before the appearance date on the citation
- •Completion window: Court sends approval letter first; do not take the course until approved.
- •Court is located in Cedar Creek (5785 FM 535, Cedar Creek, TX 78612), not Smithville — Precinct 2 serves the Smithville area
- •CDL holders are not eligible for DSC dismissal
- •Ineligible if DSC was completed within 12 months of current offense
- •Ineligible if speeding 25+ mph over the limit, speed of 95+ mph, construction zone offense with workers present, or passing a school bus
