How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driving Safety Course Request Form
- •Proof of automobile liability insurance
- •Affidavit of completion
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Upon completion: uniform DSC certificate of completion
- •Type 3A driving record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court order.
- •Do NOT take the course until you receive a written order from the court authorizing it.
- •Ineligible if you completed a DSC within 12 months preceding the offense date.
- •Commercial driver's license holders are ineligible.
- •Ineligible for: passing a school bus, hit-and-run, speeding 95+ mph, speeding 25+ mph over limit, or offenses in active construction zones.
