How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Request for Driver Safety Course form (signed, with plea)
- •Affidavit (notarized) — swearing no DSC taken for dismissal in past 12 months
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver License or Permit
- •Copy of current Proof of Insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Type 3A Driving Record (from DPS website)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Contact court on or before appearance date on citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from date of Order Granting DSC.
- •Not eligible for DSC if speeding 25+ MPH over limit, driving 95+ MPH, passing a school bus, moving violation in construction zone with workers present, hit-and-run, or fleeing.
- •No CDL holders eligible.
