⚠ Court costs and DSC administrative fees totaling $140.00, due immediately upon receiving the Order Granting DSC.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Request for Driver Safety Course form
- •Notarized affidavit (have NOT taken DSC for dismissal within last 12 months)
- •Copy of Driver License
- •Copy of current Proof of Insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Type 3A Driving Record (from DPS website)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: By appearance date on citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from date of Order Granting DSC.
- •Court accepts money orders only for payments.
- •Must be approved by the court BEFORE taking the Driver Safety Course.
- •Not eligible for DSC if charged with speeding 25 MPH or more over the limit, driving 95 MPH or higher, passing a school bus, moving violation in construction zone with workers present, hit and run, or fleeing.
