How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Written plea of guilty or no contest (notarized DSC request form)
- •Proof of financial responsibility (current liability insurance)
- •Valid Texas Driver License, Permit, or current Military ID
- •Payment of court costs (amount TBD — contact court)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified Type 3A driving record from DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before your appearance date shown on the citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
- •DSC requests MUST be made by mail or in person — paying online through the court's portal will negate your eligibility for dismissal.
- •A drop box is available at the northwest corner of the JP1 building (1801 E Old Settlers Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78664) for document/payment drop-off.
- •Not eligible if offense speed was 25 mph or more above the posted limit, occurred in an active construction zone, or driver holds a CDL.
- •Cannot have used the DSC dismissal option within the preceding 12 months.
