  • Signed TDLR-issued course completion certificate (delivered to court after completion)

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
  • Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: On or before appearance date on citation
  • Completion window: 90 days (standard TX CCP 45A; confirm with court).
  • Court is located at 505 Hwy 100, Port Isabel, TX 78578 — not Brownsville. Port Isabel is a coastal community in southeastern Cameron County.
  • Judge: Benito 'Bo' Ochoa IV (as of 2026).
  • Handles Class C traffic violations issued on county roads by DPS, sheriff, and constables in Precinct 1.
  • DSC not available if taken for dismissal within the prior 12 months, or if offense occurred in a construction zone, or if holder of CDL.
