DSC Court Fees
⚠ School-zone speeding violations (15+ mph over the limit in a school zone) are ineligible for DSC dismissal at this court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driver Safety Course Request Form and Affidavit (available at newarktexas.gov/forms)
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license (or military ID/dependent proof)
- •Proof of liability insurance / financial responsibility
- •Plea of Guilty or No Contest
- •DSC completion certificate (submitted within 90-day window)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be made before your court appearance date; call (817) 489-2201 to confirm your deadline.
- •Completion window: 90 days from date of plea to complete course and return all documents to the court.
- •City Hall and court office hours are Monday–Thursday, 8:30 am–5:30 pm; closed Friday through Sunday.
- •Court does not meet on Fridays. Request a court date by submitting the request form from newarktexas.gov/forms; the court responds by mail or email.
- •Online payments carry a 3% processing fee (bureau code 6736723 for Court).
- •Fax on file: (817) 489-5202 — call the court to confirm whether fax submission is accepted for DSC documents.
