How to Request DSC Approval

In-personRequest the driving safety course in person at Bridgeport Municipal Court, 900 Thompson Street, by your appearance date.
MailMail a written document to Bridgeport Municipal Court requesting DSC approval with a plea of 'no contest' or 'guilty' and a handwritten signature, plus a copy of your driver's license, proof of financial responsibility, and the $144.00 (or $169.00 school zone) fee.

  • Eligibility: at least 17 years old; valid Texas driver's license or non-commercial military ID; speeding no more than 24 MPH over the posted limit; current liability insurance in your name; not completed a DSC to dismiss a citation within the last 12 months; violation not in a construction zone with workers present; not while passing a school bus.
  • Certified driving records are available through texas.gov or by mail using the DR-1 Form.
