How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Proof of liability insurance/financial responsibility
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Signed DSC Request and Affidavit Form (court form required)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Upon completion: signed Certificate of Completion from TDLR-approved provider
- •Certified Texas driving record (Type 3A) from DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must request and submit initial documents within 15 days of the offense (per court FAQ); court must approve before you take the course.
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval to complete the course and submit all required documents..

- •DO NOT take the DSC before receiving written approval from the court — the court explicitly warns against this.
