DSC Court Fees
This court does not publish its DSC fee schedule online. Call (940) 552-2058 to confirm the exact amount before submitting payment.
Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Payment of court costs plus administrative fee (cash, money order, or cashier's check)
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Copy of proof of financial responsibility (insurance)
- •Written plea of guilty or no contest
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Upon completion: DSC course completion certificate and a certified copy of your driving record
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Within 10 calendar days from the date of offense
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course and obtain certified driving records; both the certificate and certified driving record must be returned to the court on or before the 90th day.
- •Eligibility: valid non-commercial TX driver's license (or active-duty military, including spouses/dependents); valid insurance; not having taken a DSC for dismissal in the past year.
- •Not eligible if the violation occurred in a construction/work zone with workers present, or if speeding 25 mph or more over the posted limit.
- •If requesting by mail, wait for the court to grant approval before taking the course.
- •Note: the Municipal Court address (1306 Main Street) and phone (940-552-2058) differ from City Hall (1725 Wilbarger St / 940-552-2581).
