DSC Court Fees
This court does not publish its DSC fee schedule online. Call (806) 256-2552 to confirm the exact amount before submitting payment.
Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Written notice of DSC request (reverse side of Court Information Sheet may be used)
- •Copy of Texas driver license
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance)
- •Payment of court costs and applicable fees
- •DSC completion certificate (submit within 90-day window)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Type 3A driving record from TxDPS (required during deferral period for drivers 18–24)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must submit written request and payment on or before the appearance date on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date the court receives your request and payment.
- •The Shamrock Municipal Court is served by Judge Rick Walden, who also serves as Wheeler County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2. Court matters are handled through the JP2 office at 122 W 2nd Street, Shamrock TX 79079 (mailing: P.O. Box 47).
