How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driver Safety Course Application form
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance)
- •Valid Texas driver's license/permit or proof of active military duty
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be made on or before the court appearance date (certified mail must be postmarked on or before that date).

- •Eligibility: speeding violation cannot exceed 25 mph over the limit; no DSC in the past 12 months; valid TX driver's license/permit (or military proof); no CDL; violation not in a work zone with workers present.
