How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Proof of liability insurance showing you as an authorized driver
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC certificate of completion reflecting 'Lakeway Municipal Court'
- •Type 3A driving record (from texas.gov)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request before the Initial Appearance (IA) date on the citation. Requests take up to 7 business days to process.
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course..
- •Must hold a valid Texas driver's license at the time of request.
- •Not eligible if the cited speed exceeds 24 mph over the limit.
- •No DSC dismissal in the past 12 months.
- •Juvenile defendants (16 and under) are set for court to review options with the prosecutor and judge.
