DSC Court Fees
⚠ $144 standard / $169 school zone if paid by the appearance date on the citation. Late fees apply if submitted after the appearance date but before a warrant issues ($209 / $234, including a $65 late penalty). Confirmed on the official city DSC page.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed, notarized Request for Driving Safety Course form
- •Proof of insurance in the applicant's name
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Payment (money order or cashier's check if mailing)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC completion certificate and certified Type 3A (Form 3A) driving record after the course
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: By the appearance date stated on the citation. Late requests accepted with a $65 penalty before a warrant issues.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date the court approves the DSC request..
