How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Signed plea form (Guilty or No Contest)
- •Court costs by check or money order — call the court to confirm the current amount
- •Proof of current liability insurance
- •Copy of current driver's license
- •DSC completion certificate (original, submitted within 90 days of due date)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Copy of current driving record from DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance (due) date on the citation; written notice of DSC request must reach the court by that date
- •Completion window: 90 days from the appearance (due) date on the citation; extensions are not permitted.
- •The court does not post a current DSC fee online (an older courtesy letter listed a lower fee that is now years out of date); call (325) 928-4911 to confirm the amount before your appearance date.
- •Court allows 2 working days to process a citation after receipt.
- •DSC approval is not guaranteed — the court may deny the request.
- •Ineligible offenses: construction zone violations with workers present, passing a school bus, speeding 25+ mph over the limit, speed of 95+ mph, and CDL holders.
