DSC Court Fees
⚠ The court charges a $10 administrative fee in addition to the applicable court costs for the citation. Call the court at (817) 626-3791 to confirm the total amount due for your specific citation.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed 'Request for Driver Safety Course' form
- •Proof of financial responsibility (liability insurance)
- •Valid Texas Class C non-commercial driver's license
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from a state-approved driving safety course
- •Copy of your driving record obtained from the Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date listed on your citation; enter a plea of no contest or guilty when requesting.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date of the request to complete the course and return the certificate of completion and driving record..

- •Court fax: 817-625-4344. No court email is published.
- •If both the certificate and driving record are not returned within 90 days, you must appear before the Municipal Court Judge to show cause.
- •Eligibility exclusions: DSC within the prior 12 months; currently taking a DSC for another violation; holding a CDL; 20+ mph over; 15+ mph over in a construction zone; leaving the scene of / failing to provide accident information; fleeing or evading police; reckless driving; passing a stopped school bus.
