DSC Court Fees
This court does not publish its DSC fee schedule online. Call (936) 598-3080 to confirm the exact amount before submitting payment.
Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license (active-duty military exempt)
- •Proof of insurance in your name
- •Course completion certificate
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified driving record (Type 3A)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must request a Driving Safety Course within 10 days of receiving the citation. A discretionary DSC may be available if you missed the 10-day window or completed a course within the prior 12 months.
- •Ineligible if you completed a driving safety course in the prior 12 months (unless granted a discretionary course).
- •Ineligible if cited for speeding more than 25 mph over the posted limit, or certain other violations.
- •Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders are not eligible.
- •Court does not recommend driving schools; course must be TDLR-approved.
