DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court costs of $144.00 must be paid in full at the time of the request. No extensions or payment plans.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver license (proof required)
- •Valid auto liability insurance with your name on the policy
- •Plea of guilty or no contest
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from an approved course
- •Copy of your driving record (Type 3A)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request (in writing or in person) by the court date and time listed on the citation.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the court's order to complete the course and submit the certificate and driving record..
- •Cannot have taken a DSC for dismissal within the 12 months before the citation date.
- •Not eligible if charged with speeding 25+ mph over, a work-zone offense with workers present, passing a school bus, or if you hold a CDL or an out-of-state license.
- •Citation is dismissed upon timely submission of both the certificate and the driving record.
- •Municipal Court extension is ext. 113.
