Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval

After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Signed TDLR-approved defensive driving course certificate of completion
- •Certified Type 3A Texas driving record from DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must request DSC dismissal on or before the appearance date on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval to complete course and submit all documents.
- •Court has not posted its DSC administrative fee online — call (903) 598-3296 ext. 3 (court clerk Tasha Wilk) before your appearance date to confirm the fee amount and accepted submission methods.
- •Court is held the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 AM at Point City Hall, 320 Locust Street.
- •City offices are closed Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
