DSC Court Fees
⚠ The court's official defensive driving page states you must pay the court costs plus a $10.00 administrative fee. The $10 is the administrative fee only; total court costs vary by citation — call the court to confirm your full amount.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Entered plea
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Valid proof of insurance
- •Payment of court costs plus $10.00 administrative fee
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Within 11 days of the date the offense occurred.
- •Completion window: Not published by the court; standard Texas default is 90 days after approval — confirm with the court.

- •Per the court's page, the DSC request deadline is within 11 days of the offense date (differs from the on/before-appearance-date default).
