DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court costs of $134.00 for a standard traffic offense, or $160.00 for speeding in a school zone, are due at the time the driver safety course request is granted.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Plea of guilty or no contest
- •Payment of court costs ($134.00 standard / $160.00 school zone)
- •Proof of insurance (financial responsibility)
- •Valid Texas Driver's License or permit (active military may use any state license)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS

- •Drivers under 17 must appear in open court with a parent or guardian to request the course.
