DSC Court Fees
⚠ The official Court Procedures page states the court cost fee is $144.00 (as of 1-1-2020) and must be paid at the time of the driving safety course request. Confirm the current amount with the court before paying.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of financial responsibility (insurance) in your name
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from the driving safety course
- •Certified copy of your driving record (Type 3A from Texas DPS)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request the course when entering a plea of guilty or nolo contendere (on or before your appearance/due date); the $144 court cost must be paid at the time of the request.
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course and return the certificate of completion and certified driving record by the due date..

- •Court address per directory listings: 16930 Boothill Road, Stagecoach, TX 77355 (mailing also listed as P.O. Box 364, Tomball, TX 77377). Confirm with the court.
- •Eligibility per the official page: valid Texas driver's license; proof of insurance in your name; no DSC taken in the past 12 months; citation not for speeding more than 24 mph over the limit. CDL holders are not eligible.
- •Court dockets are normally held once a month on the third Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
