DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court costs of $144 (standard) / $169 (school zone) must be paid by the deadline; proof of insurance also required.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license or permit
- •Proof of insurance (financial responsibility)
- •Course completion certificate from an approved 6-hour DSC
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified driving record (Type 3A)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Notify the court of the request in writing on or before the appearance date on the citation.
- •Completion window: Complete the course and submit documentation within 90 days of the request..
- •CDL holders are not eligible.
- •No DSC option used within the 12 months before the citation date.
- •Speeding 25+ over, or in an active work zone with workers, is not eligible.
- •Court of Record; court page lists 920 Estates Drive (seed said 922).
