Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: Must request DSC by or before your appearance date listed on the citation.
  • Completion window: 90 days (Texas statewide standard; court does not state a different window).
  • Court convenes twice monthly on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.; check your citation or call the court for specific dates.
  • A dress code is strictly enforced — the judge will not hear cases if it is violated.
  • DSC eligibility requires: no DSC taken within the past 12 months, no CDL, and speed no more than 25 mph over the limit.
  • Deferred Disposition is also available for non-CDL drivers in non-school-bus, non-excessive-speed moving violations; costs $134 + $200 special expense fee.
