How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Written DSC request (submitted in person or by mail before the 10th calendar day from the date of citation)
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver's License
- •Proof of current liability insurance
- •Completed sworn affidavit
- •Uniform certificate of course completion from an approved driving safety course provider (submitted upon course completion)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified copy of driving record from Texas Department of Public Safety (submitted upon course completion)

- •Request deadline: By the 10th calendar day from the date of the citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from acceptance of DSC request.
- •School-zone violations have a confirmed $144 court fee, due at the time of your DSC request; the standard (non–school-zone) fee is not posted online — call to confirm.
