How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Copy of proof of liability insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: No earlier than two days after citation issuance; no later than your appearance date (typically 10 days after citation)
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
- •Court is open Fridays only (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM); citation payments accepted at the Water Department drive-up window Mon–Thu 7:30–5:30, Fri 7:30–4:30
- •DSC eligibility: must not have taken a DSC in the previous 12 months; must hold a valid Texas driver's license; citation must not be for speeding 25+ mph over limit, school bus violation, reckless driving, fleeing a police officer, hit-and-run, or a commercial vehicle violation
- •Accepted payment methods: cash, check, money order, or credit card
- •Night deposit box available at City Hall for after-hours payments
