DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court cost fee only; does not include the cost of the course or the state-issued driving record. Payment must be a money order or cashier's check made payable to the Llano Municipal Court. No personal checks accepted; never send cash in the mail.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Notarized 'Request and Affidavit for Driving Safety Course' form
- •Copy of Texas driver's license
- •Proof of Texas liability insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Type 3A Driving Record ordered from the Texas DPS website
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date shown on your citation/courtesy letter.
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course and return the Certificate of Completion to the Court..
- •Request form must be notarized.
- •Requests over the phone will not be accepted.
- •Eligibility: valid Texas driver's license (CDL holders excluded), current Texas liability insurance, and no DSC taken within the prior 12 months.
- •Ineligible offenses: leaving the scene of an accident, passing a stopped school bus, moving violations in work zones with workers present, and speeding 25+ mph over the limit.
