DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court's own DSC request form (Form 2) specifies '$144.00' payable by check or money order to Kosse Municipal Court. Standard fine schedule also applies if DSC is not completed.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Notarized DSC Request Form (Form 2)
- •Copy of current Texas Driver's License (or proof of active military service if non-Texas license)
- •Proof of Financial Responsibility (insurance copy)
- •Check or money order for $144.00 payable to Kosse Municipal Court
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified (Type 3A) Texas driving record from DPS (https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/how-order-driver-record) — may be mailed with certificate if mailing late
- •Certificate of Completion of a Texas DPS-approved Driving Safety Course (submitted to court within 90-day window)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must submit DSC request form and $144.00 payment on or before appearance date; failure results in ineligibility.
- •Completion window: 90 days from citation date.
- •DSC request form must be NOTARIZED — check with a local bank or school administration office.
- •All persons 24 and under are required to complete a Driving Safety Class.
- •CDL holders are NOT eligible for DSC or Deferred Disposition.
- •Citations issued in a Work Zone with workers present are NOT eligible for DSC.
