DSC Court Fees
⚠ The $109.10 ($134.10 in a school zone) covers court costs and the administrative fee to take a driving safety course; the certified driving record copy and the course tuition are separate.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Sworn Request for Driver Safety Course (notarized if submitting by mail)
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of liability insurance valid on the date of the request
- •Payment of $109.10 (or $134.10 for school zone)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must be received on or before the appearance date on your citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.
- •The court warns that waiting until the last week of the 90-day window may not leave enough time to complete the course and return the certificate.
- •Deferred Disposition is also available at the court's discretion; contact the court for the special expense fee amount.
- •Warrants list is updated weekly on the city website.
