DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court lists $144 (standard) and $169 (school zone) as the amounts payable to the City of Ingram by check, money order, or cashier's check. Separately, a $10 Form DR-1 fee is paid directly to Texas DPS for a copy of your driving record.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed and signed DSC Request Form (Request to take a Driving Safety Course)
- •Payment of $144 (standard) or $169 (school zone) by check, money order, or cashier's check payable to City of Ingram
- •Proof of current automobile liability insurance
- •Photocopy of citation and/or driver's license
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Separately: Form DR-1 with $10 mailed to Texas Department of Public Safety for driving record
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Court page states request must be made within 10 business days from the date of the citation; contact the court to confirm your specific appearance date deadline.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date the court receives your DSC request.

- •The court's stated DSC request deadline is '10 business days from the date of the citation' — this is stricter than the standard Texas law deadline (on or before your appearance date). Contact the court immediately after receiving a citation.
- •Payment portal (fastgovpay.com) is available for fine payments; DSC fee is paid by check/money order/cashier's check only (no online DSC fee payment indicated).
- •Payment plans available for fines with a $25 fee per case.
