DSC Court Fees

How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed DSC Request form
- •Copy of valid Texas Driver's License
- •Proof of current vehicle liability insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from a TDLR-approved driving safety course (traditional, online, safety belt, or motorcycle operator course)
- •Certified copy of your driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the appearance date on your citation; request must be made in person or in writing by mail before that date
- •Completion window: 90 days from approval; no extensions granted.
- •Do not take a driving safety course without first obtaining permission from the court.
- •Eligible if: valid TX driver's license or permit, proof of insurance listing you as a driver, and no DSC dismissal taken in the 12 months prior to the offense date.
- •Court has jurisdiction over Class C citations issued by Kemp PD and Kemp ISD PD.
- •Online payment portal (govrec.com) is for fines/fees only, not DSC submissions.
