DSC Court Fees
⚠ Court costs and fees of $130.00 must be paid in full at time of request. Payment in cash, credit card, or money order only — no checks accepted.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Proof of valid automobile liability insurance with your name on the policy
- •Proof of current Texas Driver's License or permit
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of Completion from an approved driving safety course (submitted after completion)
- •Certified copy of your driving record from the Texas Department of Public Safety (submitted after completion)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request in writing (certified mail) or in person on or before the appearance date listed on your citation.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date of the court's order to complete the course and submit the certificate of completion plus a certified copy of your driving record..
- •Must enter a plea of guilty or no contest to request the course.
- •Not eligible if accused of speeding 25 mph or more over the posted limit.
- •Not eligible if the violation occurred in a construction zone when workers were present.
- •Not eligible if you hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
