How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of liability insurance
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must request in person on or before the due date printed on your ticket.
- •Completion window: 90 days to complete the course once approved..
- •Eligibility: no DSC taken in the previous 12 months, a valid Texas license, and proof of liability insurance.
- •Not eligible if cited for: speeding 25+ over, passing a stopped school bus, reckless driving, fleeing/evading, hit-and-run, CDL violations, or work-zone violations with workers present.
