DSC Court Fees
⚠ Per the court's official Courtesy Letter, the driving safety course fee is $144.00; if the offense was in a school zone, add $25.00 (total $169.00). Payment must be sent by certified mail with a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Signed plea form (from the court's Courtesy Letter) requesting driving safety course
- •Payment by cashier's check or money order payable to Eustace Municipal Court, or credit card (Visa, Discover, MasterCard) by phone/online — personal checks are NOT accepted
- •Stamped, self-addressed envelope (required for mailed/certified-mail submissions)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Standard TX DSC requirements typically also apply: valid TX driver license, proof of liability insurance, and a certified Type 3A DPS driving record — confirm with the court
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: On or before the court appearance date listed on the citation (request and certified-mail payment must be made no later than the appearance date).
- •Completion window: Not published by the court; standard Texas default is 90 days to complete after approval — confirm with the court..

- •No DSC or deferred disposition is available to anyone who holds a CDL.
