DSC Court Fees
⚠ Total non-school-zone cost is $144.00 ($134 court costs + $10 dismissal fee), due in full when the request is made. The court states there are no extensions or payment plans. A $25.00 penalty applies if the course is not completed as ordered.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Current Texas Driver's License
- •Proof of valid automobile liability insurance with your name on the policy
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified driving record from the Texas DPS
- •Certificate of Completion from an approved driver's safety course (returned to the court upon completion)

- •Driver must enter a plea of guilty or no contest to take the course.
- •Ineligible if: completed a dismissal course within the preceding 12 months; 25+ mph over; holding a commercial (CDL) or out-of-state license; violation in an active construction zone with workers present; or a school bus loading/unloading violation.
- •Certificate of Completion and a current copy of the driving record must be returned by the last day of the probation period to obtain dismissal.
