⚠ $109.10 non-refundable administrative fee paid to the court at the time of the request. School zone offenses are ineligible for DSC dismissal.

How to Request DSC Approval

In-personRequest must be made in person or in writing within 10 days of citation issuance. Court accepts Cash, Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Credit/Debit Card (no personal or business checks).
MailSend money orders or cashier's checks to: Hallsville Municipal Court, PO Box 899, Hallsville, TX 75650. Include ticket number and recipient's name. Must be postmarked within 10 days of ticket issuance.

  • •Original signed course completion certificate (submitted after completing the course)

  • •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • •Request deadline: Within 10 days of the date the citation was issued; request must be made in person or in writing
  • •Completion window: 90 days from court approval to complete the driver safety course.
  • •DSC is not available for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, CDL holders, citations involving an accident, school zone offenses, construction zone offenses with workers present, or if court permission was not obtained.
  • •Individuals must not have taken a DSC within the prior 12 months.
  • •No copy of driving record required.
  • •Course may be taken in person or online (TDLR-approved).
