DSC Court Fees
⚠ $109.10 non-refundable administrative fee paid to the court at the time of the request. School zone offenses are ineligible for DSC dismissal.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Proof of valid Texas driver's license
- •Proof of valid liability insurance
- •Original signed course completion certificate (submitted after completing the course)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC Certificate of Completion (signed)
- •Certified Type 3A Driving Record from Texas DPS
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Within 10 days of the date the citation was issued; request must be made in person or in writing
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval to complete the driver safety course.
- •DSC is not available for: speeding 25+ mph over the limit, CDL holders, citations involving an accident, school zone offenses, construction zone offenses with workers present, or if court permission was not obtained.
- •Individuals must not have taken a DSC within the prior 12 months.
- •No copy of driving record required.
- •Course may be taken in person or online (TDLR-approved).
