DSC Court Fees
⚠ Fees per the court's current Driver's Safety Course Request page ($144 / $169 school zone). Course tuition and the certified driving record are separate costs paid to third parties.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Valid non-commercial Texas driver's license (active military may use any state license)
- •Proof of auto insurance listing you as a driver
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •DSC certificate of completion (after course)
- •Certified state driving record (after course)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Request must be made BEFORE the court date.
- •Completion window: 90 days after approval to complete the course and submit the certificate plus a certified state driving record..
- •Ineligible if charged with speeding 24+ mph over, passing/failing to stop for a school bus, CDL violations, leaving the scene, or a work-zone offense with workers present.
- •Cannot have completed a DSC for dismissal within the last 12 months.
- •A 3.5% credit card processing fee applies to all card transactions.
