DSC Court Fees

How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •DSC Request Packet (PDF, available on cityofbells.org/driving-safety-course)
- •Plea of guilty or no contest
- •Proof of financial responsibility (valid auto insurance)
- •Valid Texas Driver's License or active duty military ID
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of completion from a Texas Education Agency-approved driving safety course (Type 3A course)
- •Certified Type 3A driving record from the Texas DPS (obtainable at www.texas.gov)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must notify the court on or before your appearance date printed on the citation
- •Completion window: 90 days from court approval.

- •Ineligible offenses: passing a school bus, leaving/failing to give information at accident scene, driving a commercial vehicle, driving in an active construction zone, speeding 25+ mph over the limit, driving 95+ mph, or having completed DSC dismissal within the past 12 months.
- •Non-CDL holders only are eligible for DSC dismissal.
- •Payment online available via fastgovpay.com/bells (citations and utility bills); contact clerk before paying online.
