How to Request DSC Approval

In-personAppear at 106 South Broadway, Post, TX 79356 by your citation appearance date.
MailMail DSC Request Form, completed affidavit, copy of driver's license, and proof of insurance to the court. Request must be postmarked no later than your appearance date. Send cashier's check or money order for the fee.

To Request Approval — Submit These

  • Completed DSC Request Form (PDF available on city website)
  • Notarized affidavit confirming no prior DSC dismissal within past 12 months
  • Copy of valid Texas driver's license
  • Proof of valid insurance for the cited vehicle
  • Payment of $144 (standard) or $169 (school zone) fee

After Completing the Course — Submit These

  • Upon completion: TDLR-approved course certificate of completion
  • Upon completion: certified Texas driving record (Type 3A)

Important Deadlines & Local Rules

  • Request deadline: Must be submitted in person or postmarked by your citation appearance date
  • Completion window: 90 days from date of plea/request approval.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) holders are ineligible for DSC dismissal.
  • Ineligible violations include: speeding 25+ mph over the limit or 95+ mph absolute, school bus passing, hit-and-run, violations in a construction zone with workers present.
  • Court is presided over by Judge Andrea L. Armendariz.
  • Telephone calls do not constitute a court appearance — you must appear in person or submit by mail.
