DSC Court Fees
This court does not publish its DSC fee schedule online. Call (281) 334-5910 to confirm the exact amount before submitting payment.
Standard Texas DSC fee is typically $144 for moving violations and $169 for school zone violations, but varies by court.
How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Notarized Driving Safety Course affidavit (must be sworn before a notary public or application is rejected)
- •Proof of current financial responsibility (insurance)
- •Copy of valid Texas driver's license (non-commercial)
- •The citation
- •Non-refundable DSC costs/fees (cash or money order/cashier's check)
- •Certificate of course completion
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certified copy of driving record from Texas DPS in Austin
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Must provide written notice (in person, by mail, or by email) on or before the due date shown on the citation. The right to DSC is lost if not requested by this date.
- •Completion window: After court approval: 90 days to obtain a certified DPS driving record and complete the DSC course, plus an additional 30 days to receive the certificate by mail and turn in the certificate plus the certified driving record. The extra 30 days is only to receive the certificate by mail — not an extension to complete the course..
- •Court must approve the request before you take the course.
- •Not eligible if you completed a DSC for dismissal within one (1) year prior to the citation date.
- •Ineligible offenses: driver's license/license plate violations, no insurance, speeding 25 mph or more over the posted limit, construction/work zone violations (workers present), passing a stopped school bus, hit-and-run, City Ordinance violations, and CDL holders.
- •Plea of nolo contendere entered via the affidavit, waiving jury trial.
