How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Blue plea form with Option #2 checked
- •Payment (check or money order)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Certificate of Completion from the driving safety course
- •Certified copy of Texas Driving Record (Type 3A)
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: Check Option #2 on the blue plea form and submit payment by your plea/appearance date.
- •Completion window: 90 days from the date of your plea to complete the course and return both documents..
- •Must hold an eligible Texas Driver's License; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders are NOT eligible, whether driving a personal or commercial vehicle.
- •DSC may be used for one violation only.
- •Driver must not have completed a DSC for ticket dismissal in the preceding 12 months.
- •WARNING: Failure to send BOTH the Certificate of Completion and the certified Texas Driving Record by the 90th day after your plea could result in a warrant for your arrest.
