How to Request DSC Approval
To Request Approval — Submit These
- •Completed Driver's Safety Course request form
- •Certificate of course completion (after finishing a TEA-approved driver safety course)
After Completing the Course — Submit These
- •Copy of driver record — request Record Type 3A and submit when requesting the Driving Safety Course
Important Deadlines & Local Rules
- •Request deadline: All court dates are deadlines; the DSC request must be made by your scheduled court/appearance date.
- •Court must determine/approve citation eligibility for dismissal via a TEA-approved internet driver safety course before you proceed.
- •Driver record must be ordered as Record Type 3A and submitted along with the DSC request.
- •Court convenes only once monthly (3rd Wednesday at 9 a.m.), so request DSC well ahead of your court date.
